"THESE ARE THE BREAKS"

First of all, I would like to thank all who have joined me as followers. I have given out mad message blasts for all of you, thru all of my networks and promoters to help with you gaining more supporters for you, and your music. We all need as much feedback and support from all ears everywhere. Thank you, now get back in the lab and make some bangers!

This past week has been more confusing then usual. I now realize how tuff it is to maintain some discipline in maintaining a calm order of things when it comes to a music group and its music. I am sure we all question why did the FAT BOYS break up, or N.W.A, DIP SET, THE ROC, THE FIRM , T L C, THE TEMPTATIONS etc. Or what makes certain people whom have grown together in the music industry, now seem distant? For example, I dont see "Uncle RUSS and RUBEN, still kicken it. Or what happened to HOVA and DAME, or even WILL SMITH and JAZZY JEFF? Was it the fame, the money, jealousy,  the egos, bad decision making, just decided to quit, someones girl got involved, lack of communicating, or just differences in where they believe who gets credit?

The reason why I am asking all of these things is because I am starting to see a pattern of all these things I had just mentioned. I am sure we all start with the greatest intentions. Especially if it is a group effort that started with friends and now music partners in business. Everyone starts with the same goal, and that is to get a hit record and blow the fuck up! You know what I'm saying! To have the fame and the fortune. No more bills, no debt, no problems. You can just do what you love doing already... just making music. Of course all that "baller shit" too, if thats your thing.

But as the months go by and the music gets better , You start to become critics of not just your own work but of also the partners involved. Maybe its just a creative look at the way the music is now being made by the individuals in the group. Some of the people may now feel they are doing more than the other, and others in the group dont even feel as if they should'nt work as hard, because in that persons mind it is because of that persons skill that they dont have to do anything. Is it because someone else has more "pull" than the other, or that one has more listeners than the other? Or is it that one feels as if they have evolved from how they use to be to a stronger and more creative artist now, and that they need to express that, and move foward as a solo artist if they must. Also what is going on with OUTKAST? Why is it that on the last album we got to see and hear both of them seperately? And I do mean literally the cds were meant to be solos. Bottom line is I am working all my efforts in everything I do to succeed as a group, a solo artist , and a young business entrepreneur, even though the unusual moments I have with others that I work with make me sour to almost fear what the future might bring. Shoot if things keep going the way things have been there might not be no future in this. I am staying strong and wont stop either way. I just dont want to rebuild a SLANG CITY LABEL , or any other label, and watch it wither to where its just back to its roots again.

Just like an old oak tree, we are all going to start together from the same roots, but as we grow we may branch off, but we will all still remain together as one tree reaching toward the sky. And the sky has no limits especially when we are now so far away from the dirt where we all began. What I am trying to say is... as long as the partnership or label we are in is not already like the once at their prime N.W.A. or THE ROC ... meaning big time, world wide respected,  and paid artists. Then why are we complaining. We all need to build on getting ourselves established in this industry first.  I will begin with faith and fairness. How about you?

Please feel free to comment or message me your thoughts. And no, I am not talking about a certain person in general. I am just overall remembering experiences, and avoiding any future repeats.

This was a good day to reflect on.

Stay creative and keep inspiring through music, we are all listening!

STUDIO ZOMBIE

So I just finished recording my free download album called THE RUFILIN EXPERIENCE. It is in reference to the date rape drug known as "roofies". Basically I am telling all who listen to my album that its going to contain actual situations in my life where I've feel like wow I just got screwed! My tracks will walk you through some tuff times where my fans can relate and say, yup I've been there. And you know what? We've all had those been fucked moments. But dont get it twisted this is not a feel sorry for me album. In fact the album has been getting more positive feedback from my fans about how it makes them want to hear more. Those comments make me push harder. Sheesh! With all the people investing in me I cant let them down , so I have seriously been a zombie in the studio. Just practically spending my nights recording in LOS ANGELES, SAN DIEGO, LAS VEGAS, and even now the 5 points of NY. I am so happy to have been getting the support from numerous artist around the world on features. That alone was hard work and it also taught me humility and patience. The RUFILIN is in mix work right now and will be available BLACK FRIDAY. As for now I am already back in the studio working on the last few tracks of THE DAILY PRESCRIPTION which contains most  beat production from the homie D.J. DECENT. Whom also besides SEVEN 4, NOM THE BAPTIST, RYAN C, and myself had also worked beats on the RUFILIN EP. I played strings, keys and bass on the tracks as well. What a journey so far... and we have'nt even got close to meeting a quarter of our goals on my progect. Respect to all who have helped me so far. It seems that I am juggling between family, school, venue set rehearsals, features, shows, recordings, fashion designs and interviews., frenz, and loved ones, that I am now starting to see people in my life rarely now. Although it is upsetting to them. I really just need everyone to understand the hard efforts that I am putting into reaching my goals and not missing opportunities to achieve them. Damn! I just went thru 29 hours with only 2 hours of broken up power naps on the corner of the studio floor. Time for zzzzzzzzzzzz

I AM HIP HOP

Here I am.... just another one of a billion emcees with a story to tell. In the next few months I hope to bring you closer into my world of realizing how hard it is for an emcee with a small fan base to rise to the top of the hip hop elite of the finest lyrical emcees. My goals are no different from the next rapper. I strive for a wealthy life , some fame, and definitely the respect for what I do, and how I do it. For now networking and collaboring music with other artists that are in the same level as myself is very key to moving foward in this industry. My team consists of producers known as SEVEN4, DJ DECENT, RYAN C, and NOM THE BAPTIST. But I aslo have a lyrical team of emcees that I work with from time to time. The SLANG CITY emcees and affiliates. From PEELZ , SOULSIK, and others I call family such as KEON SUPREME of CLAREMONT CA. ,and C- NEIL of  NORTH CAROLINA. Which both artist have free mixtapes available online. Support them yall...free is free. I downloaded for the fact they sick and they get my respect. You see.... this is what I am trying toget thru to people right now. Its great that we can spit flows and make music. But, in the end.... whos listening? Anyhow Im going to keep networking, and hopefully pick up a few local endorsement deals or sponsors to where those companies and I, can all benefit. Keep checking my blog every Tuesday,  I will run a summary of all the recent things that has happened towards reaching my goals. I am just telling my side of the story to people all over the world to  understand an emcees struggle. If you dont feel like listening to the next ones story... at least listen to mine. I AM HIP HOP - peace

NAS and DAMIAN MARLEY LIVE EXPERIENCE

Damn I was just blessed to watch a private show to see NAS and DAMIAN MARLEY. As I was in there , the host was some goofy fat dude in a suit trying to air pass invisible blunts to the crowd while dancing to that old duchie song. HA! But I was already blown. My peops and I snuck around the corner of Highland and Hawthorne and blessed the air with some sweet cheeba cheeba LOL! Any how , so we saved some for the concert. As soon as NAS and D started performing , I kid you not it was on like donkey kong. Sativa clouds just lifted everywhere. I was maybe 5 rows towards front stage. " NAS !!!!!! YOUR THE FUCKING SHIT!!!" is what I yelled over the crowd. My boy was just star struck like whut the fuuuuk. Ahahahahaha yea man. And all this happened live to be broadcasted for the Jimmy Kimmel niguh. Yo that niguh likes the DISTANT RELATIVES?? Well then that niguh is cool with me!!! " hey I'm down with you man... you eastcoast? I far east coast
